Player Housing
Dawn of the Ages (DoA) allows your character to create a shed, a house, a mansion or even a magnificent castle for your character, provided enough cash is available in her bank account. You can create rooms with the build command and describe them as you wish with paint, create doors and locks, and add that final touch with furniture and lights. You will have to ask the immortals to create an estate for you, meaning you will be allowed to build starting on a specified place and in a specified direction. Then you can create rooms on your premises and build them as you see fit - as long, of course, as it fits into the area.
If your character reincarnates, her estate will be dismantled. She will receive a small percentage of the money you spent as a refund.
Housing Prices
The prices for houses and their furnishings are listed below. Please add carefully before applying to build a house.
base price......... 10000 (this is the base price without rooms - central areas may be higher in cost) price per room............. 10000 character........ 4 (price per alphanumeric character in the room description) "treasure"....... 500 (certain words, e.g. gold, mithril, cost more because they require more protection from thieves) door (the more expensive the door, the better it will hold against thieves) planked........ 1000 carpentered.... 2000 hardwood....... 4000 studded........ 6000 iron........... 8000 granite........ 10000 korumium....... 30000 (this precious material is impervious to magic and will resist the "pass door" spell) lock (the more expensive the lock, the better it will stave off thieves. no lock, of course, is totally safe from the expert thief.) wood........... 1000 rust........... 2000 iron........... 4000 steel.......... 6000 adamantite..... 8000 furniture........ 500 (you have to provide the furniture description) light............ 500 fountain base.... 300 (this is modified by the liquid's nourishment value and the alcohol content)
